A Loss for a Gain

Well, I officially have foregone the CG theater elements in favor of a plain interface (for now, out of necessity).  I would have liked to use all that work I have done, but it'll just have to wait.  At least I can stream the film now.  That's the most important thing.  And, as far as marketing, I think this is the best idea anyway.  The idea is to be regularly giving your audience reasons to continue coming back.  My knee jerk reaction is to throw everything up there at once and see what happens.. But the wiser, more intelligent thing is to stagger it and build momentum.  So here we are.  You'll have to wait for the theater.

But the movie is up there, and that's why you're here, isn't it?  I hope you like it.  Please leave a comment on the forum or elsewhere, or even send me an email.  I'd love to hear what you think of it.

Further, any questions you might  have about actors, locations, story, etc. can be sent to me at questions@thirdofeight.com.

Finally Done

The website has finally been posted.  I've been working on it for the last 8 months off and on.  I'm pretty happy how it turned out.  I have learned more coding than I ever imaged during the process.  Javascript is making much more sense, and CSS is really beginning to come together for me.  All this has really helped me to save a lot of money while investing in time.  My graphic designer did a smashing job on the homepage design and logo.  I just love it.  We work-shopped it for weeks, some in person, but much of it long distance.  What a world.

And it's pretty much finished now.  All I have to do is get the theater linked.  The theater has a few minor issues, but it's all coded and works and is 'online,' just 'offline'.  The store has no product, but that's a totally different issue.  All the pages work, and all the assets are hosted.  And I haven't had to pay any hosting fees (yet).  I'm afraid the movie takes a long time to load, and I may need to (when I can afford it) dedicate a host just to stream video.  (ten minutes + is a long time to sit through a slide show)

Anyway, there will be changes here and there, but such is the case with most websites I think.  Glad to have the main stuff done.  What a relief.

Change

Recently I had some insights into how best to execute the creative development of my work. Awareness, desire and pure inspiration have led to research that is allowing for an unlooked-for fusion between two separate aspects of my life. These are exciting days.
