exciting stuff

We're starting to make a little headway with the screenplay we're developing with the working title, ''The Remembering.'   The writer and I have seen some incredible insights come out of putting our perspectives together.  I am, more than ever, committed to collaboration.

Currently, there's the three of us on board, the director, the writer, and a producer.  Still awaiting a storyboard artist and a production designer to agree to a vested interest.

As we move ahead, I plan to introduce each one as they have stuff to post- both for collaborative function, and for your enjoyment.  We'll be posting the latest scripts, designs, storyboards, etc. as we flesh out the stories as a group, and this blog will catalogue our process in a very literal way.

Things are currently great in CA.  I love it there.  It is such a beautiful place, Arrowhead. But due to circumstances being what they are, I have applied for a job in UT.  My reasoning: The website is done, so there's not much I can do at this point in CA until certain things come to fruition in the coming year.  In the meantime I'm trying to make good use of my time and do a little life multi-tasking.

1. Save money
2. Networking
3. Pay off my measly student loan

I guess if it falls through I could go back to California keep plugging on Maya.  There's always more to learn there.  And I guess there are things I could do if I had to, but that is definitely door number 2.

Further, I'm not really excited to be out of CA for long, and I must say I'm particularly excited about living in the ol' UT again (put in my time already and know what I'm getting myself into)... but for now I'm willing to bite the bullet for the time being.

I likely would be in SLC, so that would a bit of a new experience.

If I go, I'm expecting it to happen around the first of January.  I'll report back if anything solid moves (I filled out the application over the Thanksgiving weekend so hopefully I hear back some time soon).

Wish me luck.

Milestone

Well, that was an ordeal.  I'm sorry.  I'll try to better troubleshoot my streaming movies next time before I announce it to the world.  What a pain.

But for now, besides my own mother not being able to get it to work, I have received multiple affirmatives that have stated their success in watching the movie online.  Phew.  I was beginning to wonder.

It's funny about this environment.  You can get to feeling like you're all by yourself, talking to yourself, and that short of a few casual, lukewarm friends, no one is paying attention.

I know it's not quite that, considering my stats and page view tracking.. (God be thanked) so I'll just shut up and say thanks for coming.  Hope this stuff is interesting enough that it's worth a repeat.  If you have any comments or suggestions, please indulge!
